Is order-for-pickup new? I thought when I checked some months ago, that they didn't have it. Can live with a long drive if I know success waits at the end. Also, did they have a Miami area store that closed? When I search for Miami they're all Tampa, Daytona, JAX areas.

By long drive do you mean from Miami to Tampa, Daytona or JAX. if so you are better off paying the $15 shipping it'll cost you more in gas.
The glue gun is $15 at all direct tools stores, so not really a deal. Was just at one 3 days ago. The better rechargeable glue gun was $20. Wish I grabbed it lol

How is getting a $15 item for free "not really a deal"?

With DTO they always switch their deals up... so getting a cheap or free glue gun but not getting a great deal on the "main" purchase is a net lose deal. DTO is definitely more like shopping at Kohls for tools - you really need to know your coupons and "out the door" pricing!
Also, people keep talking about the other glue gun being the good one.

I'm very familiar with DTO. Have placed several orders from them over the past couple years. Just because they have some good prices and some bad prices doesn't change the fact that getting a $15 glue gun for free is still a good deal. Also, the two glue guns have different use cases. I own the other glue gun and have been looking to pick this one up.
If you don't like DTO, fine, don't order from them. That doesn't change that a free $15 tool is a good deal. Sure, don't go buy an $85 refurb drill to get it for free - be smarter than that. But there are plenty of fine-priced items that qualify for the free glue gun, like a $20 high volume blower (i.e. replacement for canned air for some use cases).
If this deal isn't for you, then don't buy it. š¤·
You have to keep track of dto prices in order to know what's actually a deal. They go up and down so much, you can't trust their sales, but that means they do make mistakes. I got the two gallon 18v sprayer factory blemished for $40, I was so sure they were going to cancel the order that I didn't post it. Just got confirmation that it shipped so it seems like they honored it. It went back up to $99 within a few hours so they corrected it. 18v pole saw was also listed at $70 for a long time as the regular price with no discounts, then they finally corrected that mistake as well and now it's at $140 regular price... It's definitely a crap shoot but there are deals to be had if you care to track the prices of what you are interested in. Wish someone would make a camel camel camel price tracker for dto... Would save a lot of time

One thing to keep in mind is Ryobi has a variety of very similar sounding items... that pole saw taught me that. It was 70ish for a while recently but that might have been because it was on sale at HD. HD was only about 6 or 8$ more for "new" plus possible cashback offers being HD. So it was again very "kohls'y". They have at least 3 pole saws and I think whisper is the newest and those, personally, I havent seen cheap yet.
Then the other thing you need to check is the batteries. Go figure I also grabbed that 18V sprayer. Need to use it still, but it does seem to fluctuate over the last year from like 40 to 100 bucks. Big swings.
FYI - if you buy the hobby kit (mid-level rotary tool + tips + charger + battery + glue gun) this deal stacks with the free inverter deal, netting you two freebies automatically added to cart:
FYI: if you're thinking "who wants two glue guns???" DTO also has a deal on black glue sticksā¦. I keep two glue guns in my drawer, one loaded with clear glue, one loaded with black. Surprisingly useful.

I added the glue gun and it still charges for the 2nd one

Nah man, you are trying too hard. Not a good deal, when the "free tool" is paid for with "same exact price for shipping", and you already got the gorilla guns x 10 for 9.97 at Costco Clearance. Free shipping is free shipping, which is not really a deal most places already do it, especially at holiday. Their free item/15 dollar shipping is basically getting rid of large stock of crap for $15 each under the guise of free tool/but $15 shipping. This is not that hard to grasp.

It sounds like you don't know how to maximize the use of flat-rate shipping, which is what DTO uses. You don't just buy one or two cheap items from there and pay $15 shipping on it, thinking that's a deal. That's not how you shop DTO.
This deal only made sense if you were buying something else there already - add one of these items to your order for a free glue gun and be happy with your free glue gun. In almost all other cases, you're doing it wrong, and this deal isn't for you.
