Great price, realize it is 2 wire though, no ground. OP does indicate this by 16/2, wanted to emphasize for those like me that didn't take notice at first.

Buying one just for my LED shop light that doesn't have a ground. Sad I won't be able to use it for tools.

How many outdoor tools do you see today that have a ground? I don't have any they are all 2 prong. Tools with a plastic housing don't need a ground.

the code is that all garage, bathrooms and exterior receptacles should be GFCI. if you are in an old house make sure that you upgrade per code or use external GFCI for outdoor tools

What does a GFCI have to do with 2 vs 3 wire extension cords?

Or...You don't know how a GFCI works? GFCI doesn't require a ground wire to function properly.

And you still didn't answer my question. What value does a 3 wire cord provide when only connecting to a 2 wire device?
