Thumbing up for great watch at a great price, while sharing some caveats I've posted in other threads.

I have the two-tone, non-titanium version and it is super classy looking.

For me, titanium just "feels" cheap and scratches too easily (the citizen Ti blend is supposed to be better). If you like the feel of a nice watch with some weight to it, titanium may not be for you.

Lot to unpack on this topic, but "steel" comes in a huge number of grades, and each of these grades can be heat treated in many different ways resulting in big variations in hardness. However, the stainless steel grades that are typically used in watches are generally harder than the titanium alloys typically used in watches. But... the Citizen in question here has a surface coating deposited onto it, that's the "Super" in the Super Titanium. The coating is (at least partly) Titanium Nitride which is extremely hard. It is used on a lot things, from drill bits to architectural elements, to provide corrosion and wear resistance and also can be produced in a lot of different colors. So, for example, if you want a "gold" stainless steel handrail for your Vegas casino, you put Titanium Nitride onto it. It's usually (but by no means exclusively) applied by a vapor deposition process that leaves a very thin coating, but the stuff is very tough so it typically doesn't wear off too quickly. This means that a "titanium" watch with this hard coating might resist signs of normal wear and tear better than an uncoated stainless steel watch. It also means that when you do penetrate that thin outer layer of Titanium Nitride, the Titanium alloy underneath will immediately react with the oxygen in the air and form a surface coating of Titanium Oxide, which will be at least slightly different in color and appearance from the rest of the watch's coating. Net result is that scratches may be less likely, especially when new, for the "Super Titanium" coated watch, but if you do scratch it you may find it to be more noticeable. (Note that the bare stainless steel watch forms a similar oxide layer all over from the Chromium in the alloy, but if you scratch it it just immediately reforms more identical looking chromium oxide as soon as the scratched area is exposed to air.)

Comment on this as a person who has tried both. I had a previous version of this watch, titanium, and it's super light, but as others said, the scratches are much more visible than stainless steel.

Sold it and bought the previous deal of the SS version because I prefer the red tone vs. the blue tone. Wearing it now and while it's noticeably heavier than the Titanium, I don't feel like it's a big deal at all. Still very comfortable.

Whatever version you buy, I'm sure you will love it.

I have the Titanium version from a previous SD and it only gets better from the Steel one. Not at all cheap and does not scratch.

On the other hand, does anyone here know where to order original or compatible links for the bracelet and mainly the link rods? TIA

Is the titanium used on both case and band? Can I buy the steel version and replace the steel band with titanium band or nato strap? Will it make the watch lighter?

With the exception of the color, is this the same watch?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...GQ83&psc=1

Just bought this one for $264.99 but if the blue is version is "better", then maybe I'll get this one instead (I like the blue color)

No, the difference is the red is stainless steel, but the blue is titanium, which is typically more expensive than stainless.

Thanks. If replace the band, will the weight become a lot less?

I will keep the steel version to save about $120. I will eventually use nato strap anyway.

Titanium version is lighter and you can really feel the difference. It's personal, but for me stainless steel fits better. I have few more SS watches and I'm used to their weight. When I was wearing titanium, sometimes I had a feeling that I lost my watch.
