YMMV - Tribit Xsound Go 16w Bluetooth Speaker for $15. Found in the electronics section with a few different ONN branded speakers. Funny thing is the ONNs are more expensive. Link is for reference only. The site says it's not available for pickup in my store even though there were a decent amount there hence the YMMV. I'll try to take a picture of the actual 'display' next time I'm there. Uploaded a pic of my reciept for the time being.

Bought one from 06776 even though website said not available for pickup. There were still 10 left in the clearance area.

The sound on these is super tinny sounding and the volume isn't loud at all. BTW Amazon reviews indicate these stop working in just a few months. I had 3 different tribit speakers and they all stopped turning on within a year.

Yeah, my Soundcore 2 is better sounding and only 12w vs the 16w on these, but I figured it'll be good for leaving at work and not worrying about my soundcore getting broken. I'd say they probably get about equally as loud, but the Tribit has more bass sound/feel IMO. The Tribit is also stereo, which is something you don't get on many of these smaller speakers. Not just Stereo using 2 speakers (which you can also do on the Tribit). I said to my co-worker, the Tribit is a pretty good copy of the smaller Soundcore speakers but not quite perfect.

Also thank you for a 'hands-on review'. I've seen Tribit things posted on here a few times and almost bit on a deal before I got my Soundcore 2 for a little bit more, now I'm glad I didn't. I know Anker/Soundcore are quality and have a great warranty/customer service so I don't mind paying a bit more for them, but at the $15 price point, this thing beats any other speaker out of the water.

$15 at my local Walmart, they had at least a couple of dozens.
Attachment 12789505

Last year this speaker was FP at a higher price and folks on SD went gaga over it.
I got one to try as my workplace desktop speaker, if anything it can always be returned.

Tritbit has got an excellent reviews for their giant boombox, tritbit storm or something. It's like 180 $200, and competes with the motion boom plus.

I haven't heard much about the more budget options.

The soundcore def sounds better than this tribit. I ended up returning the soundcore and just buying a jbl flip 5 for $50. Much better audio and a warranty you can count on.

That's pretty cheap for a Flip, which soundcore did you have? I prefer stereo from a single speaker so I like my SC2 for it's size. Also I've only had great experiences with Anker/Soundcores customer service and warranty stuff, but I know I'm only one person.

I have been rocking a tribit sound xsound go for 3 years now. Take it to the pool, camping, dropped it, submerged it. Thing is a tank. Still has great sound for a little BT speaker. I upgraded recently to the Stormbox Pro. I have two of them to run in stereo mode. Great products.

So I charged up my Tribit Xsound Go I bought in Wally World yesterday and played a few Spotify playlists on it. This speaker is most definitely NOT tinny sounding or low volume as someone here in this thread wrote. I'll need a few more listens, but considering $15 price and stereo paring this is pretty darn good! It'll probably sound even better when I play my 320 kbps and flac tunes.

Thanks OP. My store had them in a cage up front and weren't even marked for clearance. Picked up 4.

The people above have no clue what they are taking about. Maybe they were referring to the XSound Surf - which is similar in size/appearance, but definitely tinny in sound compared to this model.

The XSound Go is a fantastic speaker. I've had mine since 2018 (previous 12w model, micro USB) and it's a workhorse. Its compact size allows me to take it anywhere with excellent overall sound and with solid bass, especially for its size.

I also have the previous gen Maxsound Plus and just recently got the Stormbox Blast (that thing is an absolute BEAST). Tribit makes quality stuff. I just hope they make a JBL Partybox 710/1000 ish competitor (for much less that is) because the Partybox 710 is going to be my next purchase - just waiting for an SD alert on a lower price. lol

And a simple Google search will show that the XSound Go is a very highly rated bluetooth speaker. Even Wirecutter (say what you want about them and their credibility) rated this speaker the best in its class. And now @ $15, this is a no-brainer.

Thanks again OP. Repped.

Updated post with picture of clearance price, along with the rest of the items that were on that same endcap. As you can see there were a bunch.

I found the Sony XB33 for $54 the other day, took it home and was woefully unimpressed for how massive it is compared to my Charge 4. Fairly balanced, but the bass was anemic. Already returned it.

Picked up this Tribit last night and promptly listened in the parking lot. Wow. This thing has some pretty decent bass and its size makes me a lot more inclined to use it over my JBL, plus this is USB-C. Also, since it's black, perfect for using while working on my vehicle. My grey JBL shows I've used it during oil changes, haha.

The people who said who it was tinny sounding... 😂 Yeah, no, tinny this is not. Is the midrange rather THIN? Yes, perhaps. On tracks from bands like Pantera, yeah I'll give you that. Use Wavelet and a simple preset like Loudness to fix that thin/hollow midrange (sacrificing some treble detail, albeit) and presto.

Insane sound for $15. Thanks OP!

P.S. I use FLACs and Amazon Music for reference.

I had the speaker for a while and it did stop working but they sent me a replacement for free which is going strong. I also have the stormbox which I paddle board with nearly every weekend and it gets soaking wet and it is also going strong.

I just got this speaker today! It's awesome, fully waterproof, small, sounds better than my JBL Charge 3 for wayyyy cheaper! Most importantly charges via usb-c!

Does anyone know how this compares to those Altec Lansing from Walmart?
