I would say try it somehow before you get locked in to visible. I also switched to ATT yearly prepaid plan, which works out very well for me.
I tried both the $30 basic plan and the $45 plus plan. The de-prioritization in my area on the $30 plan was pretty bad. Sometimes it was totally fine, but at others the data was completely unusable. Without significant C-band coverage (5G UW), I was definitely advise most people to avoid the $30 plan, unless you're already using a deprioritized verizon plan like 5g Start or 5g welcome, and are happy with it.
However, the $45 plus plan was just as good as my old verizon post paid plan with priority data (shared data plan). I don't use enough data to need an unlimited plan, so I've since moved on to US Mobile, and am happy with their pooled plans, which allow for a lower overall cost for lower data usage.
