Well when you click this deal, click BYOD, it brings you to an IMEI checker. When I put my (unlocked) 8T IMEI in, it says not compatible. I cant continue with signup process beyond that.
i'm assuming the phone actually works theyre just being picky because wifi calling or something doesnt work, but anyways yeah as it stands looks like i cant do this deal?

would the sim in any way then need to be activated on said android/iphone, aka tied to the IMEI you used to pass BYOD check? I have access to probably One Plus 9 and S22, would they work?
That said some more googling leads me to believe one plus 8T may not play well with Visible 5G. That and already known it may not support wifi calling. Given that, and I dont relish the ever scary porting over of my longtime number, I think I'll just pay the extra $10 a month and stay on Mint Mobile, being T Mobile network is the natural home of OP phones anyway.
The thought of having my own line $15 Visible, plus two nieces on 6 month for $10 a month 10GB Mint Mobile plans with the current 3 months free promo, $35 a month for three lines would have been a true slickdealer (granted I'm sure many of you get it for even less). However looks like not too be.
It sucks that in America the carriers are so monopolistic even many unlocked phones are not really unlocked in a way. More like unlocked for one network and it's associated MVNO's. I think the newer one plus models promise Verizon support, but i dont have a sure timeline of when i'll be upgrading.

I think it's biased against OnePlus.
not sure i would proceed anyway, but it wont let me continue the signup process without a working imei. otherwise i guess just trying to get a visible sim in my hand and stick it in my phone and assume it should work based on the internet might be an option.
anybody got any help on that?
