May be a good price on a Tissot watch, however, I would not call it rose gold. The bezel has a miniscule amount of gold in a pvd coating:
What Is PVD Gold?
By Amber Viescas
A popular fixture of home shopping channels, PVD gold is an item covered with a gold coating. PVD stands for "physical vapor deposition", a reference to the process used to make it. It is found on many different jewelry items, especially watches. The process results in a very thin gold plating, thinner than what other methods of plating produce.
How It's Made
Physical vapor deposition is a type of vacuum coating. Gold is vaporized in a vacuum under high temperatures (or via ion bombardment), then allowed to condense around the object, molecule by molecule. The end result tends to be about 3 to 5 microns thick, according to Tanury Industries.

I imagine anyone reading the title wouldnt expect real gold
This is a really gorgeous watch in person. I figured I'd try it out for $200 and wasn't disappointed. I own a bunch of higher end watches and always catch myself wearing this and admiring it. I really enjoy the two tones and the design on the side is something different I don't see in my other watches.

Rose gold refers to the color tone such as yellow gold (weaker tone like Singaporean gold), gold - the standard color of gold, or rose gold (rusty yellow or leaning toward tinge of orange). Anybody who knows the value of gold would know that you can't expect real gold even on this watch MSRP.
Tissot is an entry level Swiss watch. For watch purist, this is better than any replica high end Swiss watches like Rolex or Omega.

I have to laugh. Fishcake01 said "I imagine anyone reading the title wouldnt (sic) expect real gold." The watch is indeed "real gold" to some degree. It is coated in rose gold. I tried to give you a sense of how much gold was used in the product.
Speedmaster, likewise, stated "Anybody who knows the value of gold would know that you can't expect real gold even on this watch MSRP." Again, this watch does indeed have real gold, (PVD gold) "on this watch" as I explained in my initial post, above. Further to your comment "Anybody who knows the value of gold...," I suggest that my note above explaining the pvd process of applying gold to surfaces might indicate I have more than a passing familiarity with the metal. Finally, rose gold is an alloy of gold and copper, usually also containing silver. The rose color arises from the copper. By the way, The "value of gold," as I write this is $1,915.80 per troy ounce. I hope this clarifies.

Actually no, this does not clarify anything.
Obviously, this is not real solid gold. Whether it is real gold plating or fake gold plating, who cares? Real gold plating is basically worthless. So who cares about pvd and all of that stuff?

Goodness, I hope you have not been discarding items plated in gold! They can yield significant amounts of the precious metal (though not usually in the case of pvd). For your reference, you will find ample discussion of recovery of such gold at the Reddit Gold Refining & Metal Extraction Forum (perhaps you are confusing the value of gold plate with the value of silverplate, which is indeed not worthwhile to recover). You will discover that many people do indeed care, and you will learn why. Further, to the discerning eye, the appearance of gold differs from that of imitations (though there are many good imitations). One other distinction of gold plating is its excellent resistance to chemical degradation. Barring mechanical wear, it will retain its beautiful luster indefinitely. That is why real gold does make a difference. Because I have been deeply involved in precious metals for decades (along with jewelry and watches, though now retired), I enjoy cultivating an understanding among the less experienced. For illustration, should you search my historical posts, you will find I have been sharing observations on precious metals and gems on Slick Deals for many years. Some have found my words helpful. Others, such as yourself apparently have not. I don't believe there is much point in any further replies by me. I've said what I know, and don't much care to quibble. I wish you the best of luck in your future purchases.
