I bought the 1/2 one over the weekend when they had the 25% off coupon, now I feel tempted to get the 3/8.

The digital adapters are intriguing. But the traditional torque wrench options are Pittsburg, Quinn and Iconic. Pittsburg brand is just a bit questionable in my mind to trust it on critical work. The Quinn and Iconic wrenches would appear to be of good quality but hardly affordable.

I would suggest for traditional wrenches one check out Lexivon or Tekton brands on Amazon. Less than $40 and you will find only 2 or 3 percent negative one star reviews. IMO a step up from Pittsburg especially the 1/4" torque wrench.

Anyone tried the Neiko or Acdelco digital torque adaptors and how it compares to HF torque adapters? Their prices are comparable so I want to see which one are the better options here. Thanks.

While it would be a viable backup for <80ft/lb application wouldn't an adapter on your 1/2 be sufficient? 1/2" digital adapter seems like a better use for this coupon too.

Agreed... I picked up the Lexivon 1/2" a couple years ago. It's been reliable and comes in a nice case too, which is a plus. For those interested, here's the link:

The Lexivon had a lot of out-of-range readings in the Project Farm test. Might suffice for wheels, but I wouldn't trust it for something critical. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP4uECoH8cc

It's been a couple of years since I bought their regular, analog torque wrenches, but at the time they were made in Taiwan and have proven very dependable. If they're still made in Taiwan then I'd take them over just about any other consumer-level tool brand.

Used this in store. The 1/2" Pittsburgh click type wrench is on after Christmas sale and this stacked. Got it for less than $15 out the door. I'll probably only use it a handful of times over the course of my life to check/torque lug nuts on the Bronco. So the price seems good for me

The exact one I bought. Not the one tested on Project Farm.

Torque on any fastener is very critical. I am surprised everyone is price shopping on this item. I guess the Harbor Freight products will give you plus or minus 50%. As another post indicates, watch the Project Farm comparisons. If you are spending less than a few hundred on a torque wrench, you might just ball park the torque with your hand.
Ridiculous other than the HF Pittsburg take (the Icon from HF wasn't bad at all) If one sample unit per brand tested only at 50lbs is the be all test (which it is not) than there were still a few samples on PF that did well that were significantly less than $200.
