I would suggest for traditional wrenches one check out Lexivon or Tekton brands on Amazon. Less than $40 and you will find only 2 or 3 percent negative one star reviews. IMO a step up from Pittsburg especially the 1/4" torque wrench.
This still hasn't set in for many as Nvidia and ATI GPU prices and profit margins have shown us, however for a poor customer service company that sells china junk for half the shelf space to make front page with inflated prices couponed down to retail pre coupon prices in the past is a very sad predicament.
So if you have a good reference mechanical torque wrench, that's an easy way to check the HF torque adapter.
The only negative is to make sure to keep a spare battery around, especially when you are travelling/going on a track day.

I've used one for years when I swap/rotate my wheels and I haven't had any issues. I'm not going to be spend $400 on a Snap-On.

Unfortunately, they often don't work properly. There'll likely be some percentage of times that they are out of that range and, probably the most irritating issue, they will often either fail to click or the click won't be noticeable enough and the user will blast right past their desired torque setting without knowing it.
That $400 Snap-on won't have these issues and will be very reliable. The Pittsburgh on the other hand, eh, maybe good enough for wheels, suspension, and brakes, but not sure I'd trust them somewhere really important.

I still have HF torque wrenches, but I built a little contraption to at least do a few sanity checks with weights. I also started trusting my gut more rather than blindly trusting the tools.
This is a deal thread about a Harbor Freight coupon on torque products.
Please help to keep the deal discussion on topic and don't troll (or feed the trolls) in the deal discussion.

you can check your values with various scales. best option being a travel scale with the pull rope attached appropriately. this won't give you completely accurate results but it's better than not.
if you think price or brand = value and reliability, you're going to have a bad time.
