this will power your space heater just fine. 12/3 is capable of 15amps. the reason they say not to use extension cords is people will plug a 2k watt space heater into a christmas grandma special extension cord and wonder why it burned down.

Thanks!

how are these compared to Iron Forge cables that I see on Amazon?

Also for a Tesla mobile connector charging, will a 10/3 be better than 12/3?

I have had this exact 100' cord for 3 1/2 years for electric lawn equipment. It has started to split in a few places where the inner wires (coated) have begun to stick out of the main covering. I continue to use it but was looking for a replacement.

I used to roll it up on a wheel but learned that wasn't a good way to store it and have use the recommended way for the last 1 plus years. Hoping that this recommended way keeps the next cord in better shape longer.

I added the 50ft to cart for 25. The price ofvthe item jumped to 75. I was able still checkout for 25.00 x 2.

I really wanted 25ft but I will take 50 for 25 rather than 25 for 44.00.

I guess either Lowes was taking a beating or made a pricing mistake...

Edit....

Seems to be store dependent. So try stores in other cities for the discount price but then change the item location to your local store then add to cart.

I need a store that has the 25 for 15.....

I just got back from Lowes, picking up my (10) cords.

FYI, these things are Red, White, and Blue in honor of the Wounded Warrior Project, of which Southwire is a sponsor.

Lowes' new locker pickup option is a big improvement over their old pickup system. very quick and hassle free,.

Thanks again OP!

Grabbed a 100' in Bloomfield Ct. worker told me he had just sold 8 of them and was looking for the other 7 it showed in stock. I found 1 that was out of place but couldn't find the 25 or 50 footers. Some contractor was trying to buy all they had.

I was just purchasing for one of my sons that recently bought a house. Was trying to get one of each. Just let me order a 25' and 50' for in store pickup but pretty sure it will be canceled because they won't be able to find them. Worth a shot. 100' seems like a great deal.

What a bummer. Nothing available for me in Idaho. I've been waiting for a deal on a 100 ft extension cord just like this. The hunt continues.
