The nickel and diming going on with all carriers is getting a bit ridiculous though. Time to invest in the companies that ship your luggage for you separate from the airlines.

Basic economy is only 1 free checked bag on international routes. We're flying to BCN on United and only got 1 checked per person.

This is a good price, but I prefer JAL or ANA over US airlines. I hope price will continue to drop back as they ramp up capacity (# of flights offer).
rode air premia this winter and it was great, new plane, good legroom even on economy.
only downside is there's shit food and barely any drink service. but you can just bring food on or eat before boarding
Agreed. I would actually still prefer the Zip Air deal from a few months ago since it's a Japanese airline and I wouldn't have to worry as much about flight cancellation. I don't get a free check in, but the flight experience will be better compared to Delta or AA.
