Same here. Amazon Prime card is not valid for this offer. It says in the fine print "Eligible credit cards: Amazon Rewards Visa card or Amazon Prime Rewards Visa card" but it's not working.
Not available for me
Damn didn't work for my amazon card but did for a MileagePlus card I never use. Ugh. PS - use this link and just enter each of your chase cards:

Worked on my Hyatt card which is fine with me as those points are quite valuable and easily worth more than the flat 1 cent from Amazon if you pay attention to your redemption's.

well I guess he thinks chase would try to get cardholders to use this card for more than Amazon purchases
Exactly. I don't even carry my prime card, it sits in my desk drawer. If Chase offered me this deal, I'd carry it.

Amazon Chase card never seems eligible for much...

except, chase doesn't care if you carry the card or not. they don't care if you use it or not. if they did, wouldn't they give everyone 5% off like discover does? isn't it obvious? of course they want to make money and they have these promos to increase their profit with swipes and usage, etc but don't make the mistake of thinking they care about YOU in particular. they don't; but they do care about everybody as a whole.

the promo has an offering and a budget and it's set and it's given to a bunch of people at random once they figure out who is eligible. they don't care that you buy from amazon daily, they don't care that your card is rarely used, they don't care that you drive a million miles a year, they don't care if you live in a certain zip code; they don't care. it's 2023, not 1993 when the type of marketing that youre talking about really meant something. nobody does that anymore. you don't need to spend money on "research" to have somebody tell you that this type of broad offering essentially works for everybody and you don't need to target anyone in particular. you just need to get the word out.

PenFed is more like 4.25% since 1 point is not worth 1 cent for most redemption, but it is still a good around gas card.

okie dokie then ...LOL

I guess Amazon Chase Visa dont give two shits then, but for whatever reason Ive never qualified for any special offers.....if it was really that random, you would think I would have gotten at least one of them to work...Im excluded pretty consistently for it to be given out at "random" as you say.
