I actually ordered one then canceled last month after reading about how bad the tablet is. (Reddit helped)

Also this does not have auto resistance like the Echelon, peloton bike+, or nordictracks.

Just a heads up you buying a ic4 with a lean feature and a bad android tablet with a smaller warranty.
This is very helpful. I already own an echelon with auto resistance and was considering this for the lean function. But since it didn't have autoresistance I'll stick with mine

I have never used this but the lean feature seems just stupid. It does not simulate leaning into a turn does it. Just seems like you are feeling more like you are falling over to me.

For anyone who knows more then me:

Should i get this (16" version for $799) or save some money and get the ECHELON EX4S+ from Costco at $499?
I have never owned an Exercise Bike. I do not plan to keep either subscription. Once it lapses i plan on using third party stuff. I am fine with jailbreaking like i have seen some do on XDA for other Exercise Bikes.
I would prefer one that just connects to a whole bunch of apps and lets me add my own tablet as the screen seems like a waste if I have a tablet.
Echelon is easy to hack: https://forum.xda-developers.com/...m.4023915/. I use peloton with qdomyoszwift for auto resistance and I also use Kinomap for virtual rides around the world. Very happy with mine. Ps: echelon mirror and I believe the row are also hackable. I've hacked the mirror already for my wife to do yoga with peloton

I didn't go to bed last night thinking I wanted an exercise bike.
I didn't wake up this morning planning to buy an exercise bike.

And yet I just bought an exercise bike.

Thanks for pointing out this deal, OP.

Signed,
Another repeat victim of SD, with a brand new clothes rack...

Not just me, but alot of people are unhappy with this bike. Check reviews. Screen issues. Connectivity issues. Poor JRNA uninspired software. Yes, this is a better price, but there are better bikes.

I actually own a Peloton Bike+ and I hate it. It's dumb and I'm even dumber for buying it. It does nothing without a $44/mo Membership, and even that is lacking... I don't really care about some sweaty hardbody in a New York studio yelling to justify my purchase... so, that's why I began looking for a replacement.

The VeloCore changes the game with it's OPTIONAL "lean" feature. It will allow you to use your core to balance when you enable it, otherwise it is locked. Also, the numerous features that come ready (without a membership) is fantastic. This one comes with a 12-month JRNY subscription, but $19/mo after that is fine and offers way more features than Peloton. It pairs to my Apple Watch and other Apps like Netflix, etc... My favorite is the "virtual ride along" where you're riding along to a video of some exotic location. All these features distract me just enough to make me forget how much I hate exercising.

If saving money is you're #1 goal, then I think you have your answer: Save Money.

For me, it was all about the balance of features and cost that would help motivate me to use the damn bike. I'm genuinely excited to use my VeloCore, and saving more than 50% was a bonus.
You are shitting on the main selling feature of Peloton. The quality of "some sweaty hardbody in a New York studio yelling to justify my purchase" is what sets (set?) Peloton apart from others.

I confess that I have no idea what the current status of competition is, as I got my Peloton back in 2017 when it was basically the only game in town. But what I can speak to is that after getting the peloton primarily for my significant other (I'm a life-long lifter who hated cardio), I've been using the bike consistently for now 5+ years precisely because I unexpectedly found some of the instructors' classes to be entertaining enough to make time fly (and the ones I've gravitated to don't yell, just prepare good class structures and conduct them in a way that takes my mind off the suffering...in a good way).

Of course, to each his own, I just wanted to present a counter to your view for people on the fence.

I'd suggest that anyone looking to purchase such expensive equipment (which I would consider this bike to be despite it being much cheaper than the peloton) should find a way to try the corresponding classes and see which is least likely to end up collecting dust/holding up clothes.

Auto adjust resistance (esp. with pre set workouts) should be a standard feature on all these expensive indoor bikes with tv. Without it might as well just buy cheap indoor exercise bike, you will be manually adjusting the resistance So much for modern fancy schmancy expensive clothing rack.
