Seriously?
Melatonin has not made any difference for me at any dose, ever. lol Hasn't helped other people I have talked to, either.
I've tried those. Also added L-Theanine and tried Valerian Root. None of those help at all.
Have you tried L theanine?
I used Jarrow but you only need a tiny amount,I open the capsule and take a tiny bit sublingually
https://magazine.labdoo
- Magnesium glycinate
- Magnesium complex - pretty much l-theanine and taurate are the main ingredients
- Ashwagandha
- 5-htp
- Tryptophan
- gaba
- valerian root
- electrolytes powder/drink - not endorsing Dr Berg's products but he has an electrolyte powder with a good amount of Potassium. We can actually make our own electrolyte "sports" drink cheaper.

Just wanted to add that these "sleep aids" are meant for occasional assistances for insomnia, not a daily regimented supplement. Our bodies are fully capable of falling asleep on its own, if you are consistently not able to fall asleep naturally then it might not be due to the efficacy of these products but rather another underlying condition.

I have taken melatonin a few times when I was having hard time falling and staying sleeping. I took it on Friday nights and I could not keep myself awake until Saturday afternoon. Even though I got up in the morning, I felt asleep until afternoon. Melatonin was too strong for me so I stopped taking.
Depends on how strong your cortisol levels are keeping you awake; I have taken 15 mg melatonin to try to get back to sleep after waking at 1-2 am with no effect, that's how strong the night cortisol levels can be for people with chronic insomnia. Consider yourself very blessed that 1mg alone is so effective. 😀 (Since then my doctor said 1-2 mg max is best or it screws up hormones further, FYI to anyone interested…)
I recently found the best sleep aid ever - CBD oil
I take a 40 MG capsule and in 20 minutes I'm yawning and nodding
I go fall asleep and wake-up feeling 100% normal - no odd hangovers like a lot of sleep aids (Valarian is the worst for me).
I used to scoff at CBD until a friend told me how it cleared some things up.
Its an anti-inflammatory and also calms anxiety
The trick is to get a good brand because a lot of CBD is garbage.
I use Neurogan softgells (usually around $50 but on sale for $30 often)
Some CBD sites rank 10 best brands so do the research.
I've been using every night for 6 weeks and still effective with no side effects

Any other side effects from the 40mg CBD? I've never taken CBD by itself, always with THC
Nope. I take liquid melatonin and it is not that helpful in falling asleep
Seeing the same. Can't beat this price. I paid $25 for SS in October.
