The demo lets you play a basic round of Tetris, puyo puyo, or combination of the two.. up to 4 players, and the demo reboots after every round, letting you play the demo forever without having to buy the full game

Really generous move for the devs to make, and this is a no brainer purchase at this price if you want Tetris or puyo puyo on your switch

My 8 year old wants to learn tetris and this seems to be the only way on the switch. Does anyone think 2 would offer him a big upgrade of the original if he doesn't play online? I saw it has tutorials to help.

Imo, Puyo Puyo might be more fun than Tetris. And you get both.

On the other hand, Tetris Effect is more atmospheric and made to get you in a flow state.
