I gave this game a good 10 hour shake, including two bosses, and concluded it was so painfully slow that I'd rather spend my time elsewhere. EVERYTHING about it is slow - animations, dialogue, menus, movement, you name it. The combat mechanics were pretty good, the character design was great, and it was beautiful, but I couldn't get past just how slow everything was. I'm not sure if it's a game designed for younger audiences or what but it definitely was not for me.

Good price for it. Plays well on the Switch. I couldn't finish this one though. Maybe I just didn't give it long enough but it was very slow paced. I absolutely loved ni no kuni 2 though and poured so many hours into it so was sad this one didn't scratch the same itch

Love this game. Have purchased it on three separate consoles now, including switch. It is slow and grindy, but it also has beautiful art direction and presentation. It was originally a handheld rpg that was remade into a PS3 game. It fits better as a handheld game, and is one of those RPGs you grind and level while watching Netflix or football, very similar to Pokemon but with an actual story and engaging world to explore.

It is a great game for kids between 6~12, I remembered playing this game with my kid became a great family memory. (I took the puzzle and hard fight, and let kid do easy part)

Note - this is NOT the remaster, but a port of the PS3 version. From what I understand, the content is the same, but the remaster performs better.

This seems true and if so the OP should change the front picture which is misleading. The link takes you to the page which clearly does not say REMASTER anywhere.

I just came here to recommend the website dekudeals.com

It allows you to search for games on whatever console you are looking for.
You can filter by physical games and digital games.

My favorite part is you can filter by lowest price ever for a game, or if it is a new low and a hot deal to jump on.

I echo most people here with not being able to finish it. I remember feeling that it was a bit too much geared towards children for me to enjoy. Now that I have a young one, I may give it a shot with him!

Nintendo doesn't have the remastered version on their site. Odd how it grabbed that picture.

Enjoyed the sequel more. Tried playing this one after the newer game and found it overly difficult and grindy in comparison. As in, I would spend an annoying hour in a boss battle only to get killed and make no progress - it can get slow with the battle mechanics in this game. The second game plays better and is more fair, despite this game having similar charm. $10 is a good price, but just know going in how much grinding and effort you'll need to put in. I gave up on it.

I can't imagine how a boss battle would take you an hour in this game unless you paused it after 2 min and got a sandwich for 55 min before coming back and beating it.

Nah, I just think you're over exaggerating by a lot which may cause others to be dissuaded from buying the game. You make it sound like it's Elden Ring when it's the exact opposite…dude.
