VERY tempted, but the cinebeam I got about 5 years ago is still going strong, but isn't 4k.

Input lag measurements while in Game Optimizer picture mode (which activates the Low Latency feature) varied between 50.8 to 56.5 milliseconds with 1080p/60Hz signals, and 55.1 to 64.1 in 2160p/60Hz.

Good enough for most people.

Pro gamers should look for gaming projectors like Benq x3000i. This is more sort of home cinema projector that can very well do casual gaming

I was wondering why I kept losing at Solitaire, now I know that it must have been that lag.

New to projectors, how does this compare to the BenQ GP500 at $799? My main use would be outdoors movies mainly

Currently have a Mars 3 Air that I'm probably going to return.

Thank you

Remember these things before purchasing a projector:

1. Higher the contrast ratio, the better - for sharper images and deeper blacks
2. Presence of an HDMI 2.1 port with eArc - for reduced/simplified cabling plus (uncompressed) atmos support
3. True 4K resolution - to fit more details and content onto the screen (Native 4K projectors can be $4k to $5k, at least)
4. Higher the ANSI lumens, the better - for more brightness plus daytime viewing
5. Lower noise decibels from the projector, the better - for better watching experience
6. Longer the light source life, the better - for peace of mind
7. Ignore the inbuilt speakers, as most people will use external speakers (like sound bars or HT systems)

Most modern day projectors have the capability for ceiling mounting (you can use a universal mount).

NB: When purchasing HDMI cables, look for the fiber optic ones (to reduce interference). Higher priced brands don't increase the quality of sound, because these cables are meant to carry digital signals, not analog! So, they either work or don't, and nothing in between!!

The product page refreshed to contain no "buy" button for me. Is it sold out?
