Last deal that was posted about a month ago was around $1600 I believe.
I do own HU810pw which is higher model of this unit and I love it. Difference is HU810pw gets brighter and uses 2 laser source instead of hybrid that you mentioned.
LG's Smart OS (called Web os) is my favorite one besides Android TV. Runs streaming apps, mirror image, casting video flawlessly with no issue.
I'm comparing this to the Optomo uhd38x for $1000 on amazon. I'm not a gamer and only interested in using in my home theater that is totally dark.
Any recommendation between the 2?

I have power sources outside and extension cords are not a problem. It gets really dark at night, only star light.
Can anyone in here recommend a good, ideally inexpensive, way to accomplish this?

Per Camel camel camel, price of a new unit never went under $1599
Also see previous sd post of this unit when price went down to $1500 (not on Amazon, i believe it was also from buydig?)

An entry to moderate level projector from optima/benq/Epson… with 3000+ lumens of brightness will do the job.
If you want to make it more sophisticated, add good audio system.
Location 2 look more appealing in picture for this setup.
