So not very bright. Probably more suitable for darker rooms.

This is a really solid projector and works reasonably well in a very bright room in a pinch. Picture quality is great.

Only problem for me is it turns out I'm one of those people susceptible to the "rainbow effect". I'd suggest test driving this one if you aren't sure.

$1300 is a steal.

It's all pixel shift at this price but it doesn't really matter too much for image quality.

Yes, 3LCD was a must for me too in order to eliminate RBE. I also bought a 4400 lumen pj so we can watch outside before it gets totally dark out

I don't experience the rainbow effect. Is that only when you mount it inverted? BTW, love the picture in a partially light controlled room. $1300 is absolutely worth it

No, rainbow effect is something certain people perceive and it has to do with the spinning of the color wheel to combine to make the picture. You either see it or you don't. I think it's easier to see when your staring at the image and moving you head. To people that can see it it is super annoying / unwatchable.

Is it 4400 ansi lumens? Good to watch outdoor when it is dawn? What is the brand model. I was consider one with 2500 ansi but concerned it won't be good for outdoor use.

I also notice RBE and it really makes projector upgrades much more expensive.

Its especially noticable/bad if you have to look away from the screen and then back (e.g., if you have to check your phone). After a few texts when I first got a BenQ with DLP, I was in rough shape.

2000 lumens is good for dark rooms. Washed out if lights are on, even if dimmed. You want 3500+ for rooms with light.

Can you recommend a good projector that's 3LCD and brighter like you mentioned? I'm looking to upgrade my Optoma HD26. Thank you!
