A small quiet compressor like this coupled with a light flexible hose and pneumatic nailers with no trigger delay that are significantly smaller and lighter than their battery operated counterparts is a win in my book.

Except for a really quick job, I'd much rather deal with a compressor and hose than the size and weight and delay of battery operated guns.

Compressors are coming down, as people move to battery operated nail guns.

30005 I got one for 149 today. Still two more there
Thank you. Went to the Roswell Store and there were 4 in stock. Got one and they still have three left. Sticker said $172/= and rand up as $149/=

I returned the Rigid 6Gal with three guns. Primarily because this is quieter, it's a Makita and that I will be probably using this once every two years.

My father was a general contractor who liked doing all the finish carpentry. I worked for him for 7ish years a long while ago when I was a teen. Going from a compressor to paslode gas cylinders was an amazing experience. We mostly used finish/brad nailers but in the end fark the hose and fark that noisy, heavy ass compressor . If your a shop troll, this will probably be okay and it's good for spraying off workspace. If you need to get around more, fark that. Also to the bosses here, fark you for making your guys carry this and those hoses around.
Not sure which compressors you were using back in the day, but the compressor in this deal is not really very noisy, though it does weigh a bit. If the noise level and heft of this compressor is too much, there are quieter and lighter compressors available. The one I use is the little Hitachi [metabo-hpt.com] 1 gallon and it's awesome. At 59db and 25 pounds, it's tough to find something to complain about.

I get the noise has come down but you still have to lug the 44 lb unit from the truck/trailer around along with 40'+ of hose and no wheels to make it easy. It's a 1hp compressor with a relatively small tank so I assume it will be running in the background far more often than the loud ones did. It's Slickdeals and many want to justify their purchase. If this something you will use rarely and infrequently , it's probably great. Makita is a fantastic company and makes great professional tools. My complaint was more for the "professionals" here who purchase tools for others to use.
Give me a 40 lb compressor and a poly hoses over anything Paslode every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

We had malfunctions maybe twice a year over 5 units and could be resolved while on scaffolding. Not to deny your experience but it was an amazIng transition for us.
I can't afford to have one sit in my garage today as we know they are expensive but I have nothing but praise for using them. I do have electric nailers in my garage today that I rarely use but they were relatively inexpensive. I don't have enough experience of my discount electric nailers at home to compare to a compressor or fuel cell but they operate well and not once have I wished for a compressor.

I question If a person is in love with a idea or a tool here. A lot of people love to latch on to internal combustion engines, Is there an equivalent for compressor air powered tools?

Your living in the past. Batteries are only getting better, motors are getting cheaper and stronger, this antiquated technology is only filling up shelves where better electronic machines can go.
We are talking about few moving mechanical parts to lots of mechanical parts plus electronics being violently jolted. It makes sense that people are distrustful of the electric units. I am too, long term. The issue as I see it is here is potential nails a minute vs employee happiness. A cordless nailer as an employee 100% changed my day and took away a lot of job frustrations I had.

I use this daily. It's a great compressor. But... the switch has issues. It works great till it doesn't and then it fixes itself. Twice for no reason it just wouldn't turn on and build pressure. I tried everything short of taking it apart and nothing worked. So I'd head back to the shop to grab another compressor and somewhere in between the job and shop it would fix itself. Super frustrating. My boss got the smaller version of this compressor and it does the same thing just more often. That said I've been using it for over a year and still continue to use it.

Get back to me when the size and weight of the battery powered nailers approaches that of the pneumatic ones and I will definitely reconsider. But currently, I'll gladly deal with the small hassle of the hose and compressor in exchange for the small and light pneumatic tools.

I have some near me listed "clearance" with no price also, but the HD website for that store shows it as full price. Where does Brickseek get its prices from?
Just an FYI, but homedepot doesn't show clearance prices on their website, on purpose I think. If you for example grab a clearance item on an endcap and scan it with the app, it shows up regular price. You need to check out so see real price
