I'm currently rereading this series in anticipation of book 6 coming out this year. The final book, book 7, to follow hopefully not too long after. I'm about half way through book 1. Still just as great as the first time around. Although it has a lot of Hunger Games elements to it, it changes drastically after book 1. I highly suggest it.

This first book is a bit young adult but please don't let it hold you back. This is an epic scale sci-fi series. I listened to the audiobook rather than ebook and can whole heartedly recommend.

I had not heard of this series or author. My library has books 1-5 (ebooks) but all except book 3 are checked out with about 3 month wait times. It seems pretty popular.

Fantastic series— very solid sci-fi writing. I actually think the audiobook is well-worth a listen too, which is fantastically voice-acted.

read the trilogy, all are good and worth it. Book 1 is more like hunger games, but book 2 and 3 are more space opera.

Hmm reading this has me considering moving on to the other books -- Red Rising just felt too much like "adult Hunger Games" to me and I was bored. Thanks!

Still, $2 for this is a steal for those looking for, well, an adult Hunger Games.
