Reward points change:
The second change is that on February 14, 2023, earning points on eligible Best Buy purchases will become an exclusive benefit of the My Best Buy® Credit Card.
This is actually a winner for those who DONT regularly shop there. They even get to save more $ on the spot as a perk versus needing to spend $250 to get a measly perk of $5 reward certificate.
Immediate dividend is what I'm talking about.

So, this would dissuade me from preferring to buy from BBY. I'm also an elite and total tech member too, so I already get free shipping. =/
I noticed that when I'm offered points for a review it says that I would get 25 points for the review AND 25 points if I post a picture with that review.
Does that mean I can get 50 points for each review x 8 reviews = 400 points TOTAL for posting those reviews?
I try to do the reviews thing at the beginning of each year, but I don't recall the extra 25 points for posting a picture.
And now with points ONLY being given if you're a BB cardholder (I'm not), then I see no point in doing any more reviews that would get me more than 250 points ($5 threshold) since I would not be accumulating any more points for purchases moving forward.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the EXTRA 25 points offered for each picture for each review is NEW for this year. It's probably connected to this rules change since you no longer can earn any points unless you have their credit card.
And so the old offer of 8 reviews x 25 points (which didn't get you to the 250 point threshold for $5.00 unless you made purchases), wouldn't work since now unless you have their credit card, it would be absolutely pointless to do reviews since you'll NEVER get to 250.
I think that's why they're offering an additional 25 points for each picture? So you can at least reach that 250 point threshold to motivate you to still do reviews. And I'm sure they don't want people to all of a sudden just stop reviewing products when I assume a good majority of these people doing reviews are doing them for the points.
Anyways, please keep us posted if you actually get the full 400 points. Thanks.

That's said this is probably the last time I do Best Buy reviews and also last time to use Best Buy points.
