So what's the range you can travel with a power bank? And is this domestic only or international as well? Sorry don't travel enough to know this.

For what it's worth, I was stopped at least once in my international travels and had my powerbanks looked at. Pretty sure it was in Japan.

Yeah, no one care attitude, just like Major Mike Freyholtz USAF that crashed a $340,000,000 C17 aircraft because he ordered his crew to IGNORE the safety warnings built into the aircraft. He was a C17, trainer, he knew better than the people that built the aircraft so he can just ignore policies and laws. I'm sure he had a change of mind in the seconds he knew he just killed himself, his crew and anybody on the ground he crashes into.
Hey, juggle knives if you need to feel macho or something, but it's not just you on board an aircraft, don't risk everyone else that has nothing to do with your stupidity. Just stick with a smaller battery pack on the flight and buy a larger one when you get to your destination.

What is the reason you can't fly with a larger one? Fire/explosion risk?

That's not what the TSA website says. Power Banks are allowed with carry on but not with check in luggage.

Do these power banks have pouches or cells inside them?

I've had my powerbanks examined once in China as well in Beijing. They didn't seem to care at any other airports in China but the one time I had to fly through Beijing they were hardcore inspecting everyone's powerbanks lol
