Purchased this one, I work from home and do about 7 hours of video conferencing daily. I'm really looking forward to replacing my 2018 Lenovo that can't hold a wifi connection and piss poor keyboard

This time an .edu account is needed - not any regular buyer
You probably don't know what you're responding too. All 3 times this was on sale in the last 14 days was via the EPP accounts. You don't need* an .edu account, although it is one way to get an EPP account.

Great laptop. Great deal.

I accidentally bought an extra Crucial 32gb RAM module from NewEgg when they had them for $99 over Christmas. Let me know if anyone is upgrading their RAM.

*Correction: EPP account.

It's sad though that this 800series is hp's only 6000u series laptop for their entire line, including consumer line! How pathetic.

What about overheating? Is that an issue with this laptop? I have been trying to find a portable computer that can handle some heavy loads, without lagging or overheating...... I'm on the verge of trying this laptop, if it wasn't for 15% restocking fee......

There was an expired deal of 16" priced for $662. All other specs are the same. Should I wait for the price drops?

The expired deal for the 16" $662 had a lesser processor & smaller battery.

How do I avail this deal? Do I just punch in my work address and it just works? Or does my work email need to be in a predetermined contract with HP ?
You just have to signup for id.me. see the 16inch one's deal here. Someone provided detailed instructions

No way it can reach 15hrs. I bought the 16" model, which can only last 8hrs, even with the saving mode. It was a big disappointment.
I should've gotten swift edge from Costco when I had the chance. The reason was that they keyboard had too much flex according to an YouTube review 😓
All other laptops on sale seem to have more issues.

Yup. Overhearing and loud fans and even the glue coming off after such a session are real issues, but not everyone had it. So it's like a lottery.

That had a 6 core ryzen 5. The other specs were probably lower too..

It's not like others have a lot of models with 6000u series in stock 😂

Well, if the screen is falling off, that's a legit reason to return. I just want a laptop with normal temps (35-50C) that has good keyboard, without light bleeding, good enough processor that handle workloads and light enough to carry around.... Am I asking for too much?!

Everyone's perfect laptop would be around $3K. In order to come in below $1K you will have some compromises to make. That's what I tell myself anyway.

The fact that HP have a ton of business Elitebooks in stock and are selling them cut-price thru the retail channel indicates that they misjudged the tech downturn and are dumping. Good for us, but some people might be better off with non business laptops.
