G1 is brighter than the A80J, which is brighter than the C1. The C2 is brighter than all three as well as the A80k, but G2 is king of the mountain.

The Sony's have a semi-matte finish, so they really cut down on the mirror effect. If you like the glossy finish, but prefer a Sony the 77" A80J is glossy.
The lack of HDMI 2.1 ports imo kills the Sony TVs if they're still only 2 proper ports. With 1 used by ARC.

2 consoles + soundbar is a really common user scenario.

The C3 expects to be 20% brighter than the C2. The G3 will be the brightest OLED ever made. There are numerous, numerous reports from last week's CES show in Vegas.

That being said, and the owner of a 77" G2. And 65" C2. The C2 is indeed much better than the C1. Those shopping the C1, forget them. However, yes, Sony's J series indeed a rare situation where it is better than the 22 K series. I would not expect to see too many J series Sony's going forward.

If you are not a complete Videophile, the current LG C2 is a very good overall buy at this time. Hint, there are no "Superbowl" deals as you may expect. Black Friday prices are usually as good as it gets until clear out time in April. As being a previous Television Buyer, the Superbowl in and of itself is a reason people buy TV's. Very busy two weeks in the industry without needing sales. 2023
product usually comes out in March to June depending upon the line. Higher end stuff usually later. In the meantime, check out "CamelCamelCamel" as it shows MAP pricing on Amazon and the trends for all the prior model years. It will help show the drastic drop periods. This may help...

Another common scenario is 0 consoles and 0 tv's with webOS, which for some of us is just the right number of consoles and tv's with webOS.

I am shocked people buy a high end tv and then don't have a quality sound system and instead directly plug things to their TV.

Buy a less expensive TV and use the money to get a proper 5.1 with a receiver. Plug things into receiver. No issues.
it's literally silly to put a sound bar on a top end TV.

The Sony TV is literally made for movies ... Not gaming.

It's the same panel....

I've just recently been researching oled's in maybe buying one. Is this a pretty good price for the c2? I thought about going the c1 route, I figured it'd be cheaper.
I went B2. According to most reviews you get 98% of the c2 experience for hundreds less. Same panel, too.

Waiting for the Sony 77 A80J for a long time now. No deals yet. ☹️
It was $2000 back in October on Prime Day....I pulled the trigger after already having the 65A80J and have zero regrets.

Man I almost bought a B2 a few days ago, then a C2, then gave up. Now a C2 cheaper than the B2 was.... so tempted.
I bought the 77" B2 at $1699. No regrets. It's 98% of the C2 and hundreds less.

I don't think it's a new one. Might be refurbished.
It is a brand new one.

Bought the 77c1 last year from buydig with 4 year accidental warranty, does it make sense to have an "accident" or how does the warranty works? Thank you

I value the minimalist design of soundbar over an entire setup.
