And yet another buyer here whose seat broke within a year of purchase. Only 2 users, lightweight for Americans, and - not to brag - but we've been using toilets for many years so we aren't misusing them. We had to duct tape the seat in place after the hinge broke, which was not a good look.

There is a known issue with these units and - according to their own service team - the third party manufacturer who produces their seats refuses to acknowledge and fix the issue. They promised me a replacement seat until the costco return window ended, then failed to deliver. After repeated calls. Super shady.

In Summary:

This is a known product issue resulting in thousands of reported failures (according to their own service team).

Bio Bidet refuses to fix the issue, just blame the supplier.

Bio Bidet may promise you a fix or replacement seat, but never ship it.

Even if you buy at Costco and return it to them, its a nasty process filled with clorox wipes, teflon tape, suspicious leaking liquids, lugging awkward garbage bags into retail stores, and shame.

Save yourself from this hassle and buy from a different company.
BioBidet makes their money on crap, and they treat their customers the same.

Same story here. Soft close seat stopped closing softly 1 month after warranty expired. Purchased from Costco, but I just can't bring myself to return a toilet seat that's been used for a year.

I tried bio bidet twice: the first one broke right after 1 year warranty (not from costco), second one broke in 6 months. It was from Costco, so I returned it.

I like them, but have serious concern on the quality for Bio Bidet.

So stay away from this model or stay away from biobidet in general?

Fair question. I loved this model until it failed on me, and I learned (from their customer service) that this is a very common issue. Class action suit type common. So avoid this model.

Unfortunately the company not only failed to improve on its obvious product quality issues, but on the phone setup an order for a replacement seat and told me it would ship out shortly. That was over a year ago, and still hasn't arrived despite multiple calls on my part. So avoid this company.

TLDR: Avoid BioBidet and this model.

We got hooked on bidets while living overseas. When remodeling two bathrooms, we had outlets put behind the toilets for these. For two commodes, we've had five of these in five years.

Issues:
The left hinge that controls the soft close function definitely will crack and stop working a little after a year. The seat will fall off if you're half asleep and raise it up.

Also, the seat will discolor from some air freshener sprays, so don't use them near one of these.

Based on two users, very thin compared to the average American, so weight isn't breaking these things. They're great until they break.

Owned two of these for a year, and the heated seat broke on both. They started getting extremely hot even at the lowest settings.
I ended up returning both.

we got our 6800 maybe 5 years ago from Woot. the heat etc still working great. developed a crack in the seat-cover hinge (not a huge deal, just doesnt come down slowly anymore)

we also have a panasonic we stuffed in our luggage coming back from japan in 2014. it however is still 100% working great. would not recommend doing this though as we had quite a time adapting it to our water line.

How is this compared to the recent Brondell CL1700 deal for similar price?
Avoid Brondell Avoid Brondell. I cannot say enough times 😃

I've been using bidets for over 15 years. Always bought in Costco. Installed in 4 bathrooms. They are the best addition. A warm seat hygiene and some have a dryer.

I just threw away 3 Brondells. All of them had leaks right about the end of warranty. I tried fixing one with epoxy too.
USPA also has issues brand new and remote has only 1 button working.

Get Moen. I have it for a year now and it works very well.

I have two of these. They work great. One issue in years (seat warmer quit) and getting a replacement under warranty was super easy.

I literally just had the same issue! I also didn't want to return it to the store… and I feel really bad for the person having to open this buuuuut… I went right into costco.com. Found the order in my order history, and clicked return listing item as defective. Printed off the free UPS return label, boxed it up and shipped it out. I can spare myself the shame of bringing back the horror show that the bidet became after my 3 boys and their terrible aim.

I have two seats, both have performed their intended butt warming and wash functions flawlessly for years.

The lids, on the other hand, are shite.

One seat had the defective lid replaced under warranty, replacement broke within a few months, couldn't get it replaced after that. (And they fought me on the first one)

I didn't even piss around with getting the other replaced.

I did not enjoy the install part because the backside access to my toilet tank is difficult to get to due to the make of the toilet and sides hiding everything. Also possibly won't work on some one piece toilets, so due a little research.

I have had it about 3 months and working great, seems like in another 9 months something is going to break.

Great price and seems like common thought is to order on costco.com for easier returns.

I would not recommend this. Bought one from a Costco deal when they were $180 in 2019 as my first bidet. While I liked the heated water/seat & night ligh, even with the aeration "turbo" mode the pressure was not as much as I was expecting. In under a year, The water jet mechanism sound changed, & the water was barely dribbling out. It was still under full warranty, so I sent it in for repair, though shipping was $30. Reinstalled & all was good for about another year, then the heated seat & water both stopped working, as well as the pressure mechanism. After $210 and 2 years, it is now a glorified night light. Bought the $20 Luxe bidet from another deal a year ago for the basement bathroom, and was blown away with the pressure so much that I didn't miss the heated water/seat. That thing gets you CLEAN, inside & out!

My BioBidet also cracked, replaced it with a Toto
Does the Toto perform any better than the BioBidet from your experience so far? I know it costs more but I don't mind to pay extra for a better product. TIA! Wave

My non-wireless remote one is going on year 10 and the only thing that doesn't work is the soft close lid.
