There are many similar/cheaper price better quality options available at Walmart. I ordered 4 last month, each piece was ~$8.

looking at reviews, this is not as good at blacking out as the deal you mentioned

Bought some of these in floor to ceiling sizes a few years ago to use as a video background, and as sound dampeners in my studio. The quality is excellent. They do the job well, though not perfectly. The sizes I bought are pricier than these on "sale".

How do I know what width to get curtains? Like if my windows are 70" wide, the online calculator says that I'd need 140" of curtain but that seems really excessive

I would prob get something in between 70 and 140. Remember to take into account the curtains fold so 70" will look very flat vs 140".
