Should I get this or the m2 with 16gb and 512gb? The use would be mainly for coding.

OOS. Only used and refurbished available. I'm not seeing 1599 price for brand new? I had the 14, from Costco, returned it for the 16, but I'm thinking the 14 was the way to go now. 16 is relatively heavier and bulkier. I flew too close to the sun. Wish Costco still had the promo going on.

I was dead set on the 16 for a long time but have now shifted to wanting the 14 for the same reasons you mentioned.

Promotion is still going on actually, but OOS online. Went in store 3 days ago -- they had 4 left. Hope it works for you!

Too bad I saw this too late. I'm sitting on some gift cards I need to spend at Amazon. I've been waiting for them to price match Best Buy's sale price for weeks and this went in a couple of hours.

Alas, hopefully another sale pops up sooner rather than later.
