The sapphire screen is worth it. I have been using 5s Sapphire and now after 2.5 years of every single day use/training , its started to shut down for no reason. Its time for me to upgrade.
Also costco has 6 Pro Solar for 380. Its not Sapphire though.

I would like the updated HR on the 7 series but will deal with it.
If Amazfit can makes watches with truly 21+ days of battery life with amoled displays and very accurate heart rate, gps, etc against their competitors then they can as well. There are countless YouTube people and articles out there talking about the drastic improvements amazfit has made with their accuracy issues and gps (which was minor). I wish they added app support or Garmin would buy em lol While I appreciate the wife getting me the Fenix 7 Solar Sapphire it still doesn't seem "tremendously better" than the 245M I started with at ¼th the cost.
The Fenix 6 Pro at $399 right now is a real no brainer (Amazon and countless other retailers) it is a toss up on whether double the price for a Fenix 7 is worth the few big updates in the 7 over the 6's.
The 3HR battery life lasted a good 7 days normal use with GPS enabled. If I used it to track my hikes etc. 4-5 days. My Watch4 is 2 days if I'm lucky.
The Alt/Baro is inaccurate on Watch4, watch3 was accurate. I like the touch screen on the Samsungs, but that really isn't a deal breaker.
I might have to get another Fenix.

Its not because I want to get Apple or Samsung fitness watch.
You want to weight everything!

FYI anyone who doesn't know about crystal sapphire use in watches, it's one of the best materials that can be used for a watch face cover. Regardless of the age of any of my non smart watches the crystal sapphire stays flawless. Rolex uses it along with a lot of other luxury watch makers. Extremely scratch resistant and easy to wipe off and make it look new. The underside of a t-shirt does wonders.
Also, IMHO the "Solar" models are not worth any extra money. The solar does not fully charge, but just adds a little to the battery - maybe 10%, but not enough to prevent them from draining. I think this is a feature that Garmin is testing at the cost of consumers - maybe it works better on the Fenix 7, but on the 6 - "no thank you".
I think the 6x Sapphire is the same as the 6x pro with sapphire screen?
