I signed up. Samsung has converted me from pixels (or more accurately Google has pushed me away). My only complaint about my current s22u is that the camera isn't as good as a pixel but in pretty much every other way it's better than the current pixels.
How? I did the opposite and quite enjoy pixel 7.

IMHO: there is no benefit to have galaxy phone over any other, unless you like the UX/UI look and feel.

No more sdcard, audio jack, samsung pay MST (pay using non-nfc old terminals). It's like any other phone with preloaded and sometimes imposible to delete samsung crappy apps (yes, you can disable them).

Hopefully they'll have a good upgrade on the flip four. I got it and I really hate it because I live in constant anxiety that I'm going to break it.
Disagree, rocking Flip4 w/out case for 6mo. No problem - - still in love ... Just tested the pixel7pro... Now I'm sure, Flip is the way!

Cracked or peeling?

My ZFlip3 lasted about a year before the peeling at the crease. It's not the screen though, it's the screen protector. I'd look into it again before doing it yourself but when I looked into it people seemed to say "pull it off it doesn't matter" and that's what I did. Never had any issues after that, but I did trade in for a Zflip4 shortly afterwards so it didn't have more than a month or two of use without the screen protector.
There are 4 horizontal lines that looks shimmery starting on the right side and traveling left. I'm assuming it's the screen protector.

Thanks. I'm actually ready to move on from my Flip 4 to a S23 Ultra. The folding phone was cool, but almost impossible to fit in my pocket due to the bulk.
if you think the ultra is a pleasure to have in your pocket.. u better go try it. I'm ready to go back to my pixel 4a5g if I really want something to put in my pocket. I almost always just hold the s22 ultra and it never goes in my pockets.

Have to agree. I'm sticking with my Note 20 Ultra, then someday I'll buy whatever brand has an SD card, big screen, and whatever other features I want. I don't really care what brand it is.

The main feature I hope they can improve on in S23 Ultra is battery life. Hope it can match the battery life of iPhone 13 pro max. The battery life of s22 ultra is very poor.

I hear you, but those people have a point. The microSD card was dropped because Samsung wants you to spend another $250 for an extra 128gb, while a 128gb microSD is like $15. Sure internal memory is a bit faster, but it's mostly movies and pictures on the extra storage and doesn't need to be that fast.

It's a crappy business model to take away features on a phone and then upcharge people who want them back.
they have a point if it was the 1st year that the new phone does not have those feature.....but after the 2nd....3rd....4th year????....

Have you used an Ultra? I went from a Ultra to a Flip because the Ultra was so bulky it kept falling out of my scrub pocket at work.

I'm guessing you're using a Fold currently though, I can see where that would be too big.
I have fold 4 and it's actually smaller than the ultra when folded up and fits in pockets much easier

Might not be getting a flat screen, but according to leak, the S23 Ultra might have a less curve screen.

Hold on as long as you can after release, don't rush. I've traded my s22 ultra for 1k to get the fold4 a little over one month back. Still not sold as I'm too lazy to open it fearing to break the internal screen. Also the crease is annoying when you type/swype. So I'm using the external screen which is fairly small. The cool factor is wearing off, although Samsung is planning to make s23 the last phone and move to folding and flip phones... Let's see if this actually happens.
If you're such an anxious person, maybe you should have never bought a foldable phone. Have had Fold 4 since launch and have 0 issues with the screen. I believe it comes with 1 free screen replacement anyways, and even if I have to pay out of pocket for repair, $400~$500 isn't so much that you have to be scared of using the device.

Lots of Sammy fanboys will disagree with you. They seem happy that the Galaxy phones are becoming like the iPhone. I am seriously considering making the jump when the next iPhone has the USB C port.
Very doubtful they'll goto USB C charging.
