The Vortex Diamondback binoculars are some of the best around for the price. These OPMOD binos come in the nifty Wolf Gray color. Many applaud the high-quality construction, intuitive controls, and packaged contents like the comfortable neck strap, rainguard eyepiece cover, and carrying case. With 10x magnification and 42mm diameter lenses, you get a crisp and clear image at a variety of ranges. While Vortex recommends these Binoculars for anything from bird watching to hunting or if you just need to see something far away.

By the way this is the Diamondback HD version. I've seen the non HD diamondback vortexs on sale for $150 posted here but the lowest price I could find for this exact DB-215 is easily this price. This is a optics planet exclusive gray color, that's the only difference.

What's the difference between that version and this version for $136.99?

TY. Ordered a pair.

I spun their discount wheel and got 10pc off (in exchange for receiving text promotions).

Just FYI, these are not ideal for birdwatching but may be ideal for your intended use:

While 8x seems to be the more preferred for bird watching, I do see tons of reviews saying they use these for bird watching. It's not like they are 15x astronomy binos that require a tripod. But yes their disadvantage would be following close birds (more magnified and smaller FOV), where as it has more detail in further away bird watching.

I noticed the slightly cheaper pair does not offer any type of return, and all sales are final. I opted for the slightly more expensive model to have the option of a return.

I believe you are right. I have some 10x42 already by Nikon and really wanted something more of 8x42 but only the 10x42 are on sale.

Would a 10x42 then be okay for yellowstone wildlife? appreciate your help
