I bought some Keens recently, to replace some that wore out. I tried to buy the exact same shoe, but of course it was this years model.

The insole was not as pictured on their website. It was bright yellow and covered with progressive branding.

You may like this or not like this, but it was not as pictured on their website. And the insoles were glued in, so I couldn't replace them with Superfeet.

Dark Earth/Mulch color only. Black seems to be more normal-like prices but vary by size.

Yeah but beware these run wide. I usually get wide but in these I get the regular width.

Off topic.....who makes the best work boots? Red Wings were hard wearing and too expensive, Carharts feel like they're made of stone and break in when they're on their way out. My Georgia boots fit well but the soles wear out after a few weeks...

I have the Merrell "Moab Adventure" that seem similar to these. They are far more of a casual shoe than an actual hiking shoe, and although they could certainly be used for hiking there are far better options if you're actually after a hiking boot. Great for travel as they can be worn all day without discomfort whilst not looking like a hiking boot.

Very temped to order these to see if they do fit the same bill.

Reviewers say they are water "resistant" but not waterproof. The chart on the Amazon page also shows they are not waterproof.

IMO, Keen quality has gone downhill. I just got a pair of Targhee 2 mid hiking boots with try before you buy and I will be sending them back, they don't feel good at all on my feet and I am trying to replace a set of Keen hiking boots I bought over 10 years ago (Erickson PCT Waterproof Hiking Boot) that fit awesome right out of the box and have seen well over 1000 miles on them. I just cant find anything that feels close to them, but the sole and inside are almost completely worn out now after all the usage.

IMHO they're low cut so it doesn't matter a ton. Walking through wet grass still hits your ankle. Splashing through a puddle? Same.

Get over the ankle if you're serious about waterproof. My opinion and nothing more.

Do you often sit and look at your shoes without feet in them?
