I've been wanting to snag this for a while, and while I was hoping the price would drop even lower ($200), I've been waiting for well over a year for the price to drop. Why is this getting downvoted? Did Rode get cancelled, or something?

Seems like it's been this price for a couple of months according to another site, but hasn't been shared until now. It's currently the same price at B&H, but is still $299.99 at Best Buy, Adorama, and Rode's own site. What am I missing?

I can only assume it's from people that don't understand why these are worth $300. I bought them at full price over a year ago after seeing a set in action and use them all the time. Absolutely worth the premium over cheaper options and I have a drawer full of them thatI tried first to prove it.

Do these have the ability to plug in a proper lavalier microphone? Otherwise, people look pretty amature on camera with what looks like a small pager clipped onto their clothing. Even worse is when they place a dead cat windscreen on these. I'll stick with my Audio-Technica System 10 Lavalier and keep it professional looking.

I had seen these before, and had no idea that they had built in mics as well lol. For someone who wants to do a little more video work, that's actually a tiny bit tempting!
