I had seen a lot of positive reviews for this unit while searching other inverter generators on SD. This is below the CCC low price of $530 on Amazon, so I decided to go for it.

This is the lowest I have ever seen this go for. Excellent inverter generator. Mine is still going strong with 450 hrs on it.

Four hours left as of 6:15 PST. A hands-on professional review comparing it to igen4500 would be nice. It hasn't gotten quite this low but has more features like remote control. Mine is quiet. It is running for over a week during the ongoing power outage. Starts easily hot or cold.

Good testimonial. How many watts constant output does it support in actual use? Estimated gallons per hour at 25% and 50% load?

Definitely a good deal compared to the regular price, but for not much more you can get a unit with dual fuel and higher surge rating. https://wenproducts.com/collectio...l-shut-off

I have never used it at full load, only 50% load. At 50% load that lasted about 7hrs from a full tank.

That's 0.314 gph estimated consumption. It has a 2.2 gallon tank vs igen4500 3.4 gallon. In my use of the igen4500 I'm down to just a few hundred watts at night. I need to do more testing but I like not having to go out in the raging storm for 12+ hours. Westinghouse makes some of the quietest and most fuel efficient inverters but this doesn't speak to build quality or durability. A Honda teardown reveals what you are paying for. For occasional back-up use this Wen looked great for the money.

$182 isn't exactly "not much more" on a $519 item, it's 35% more.

That's a good deal, I would have bought that one if it was on sale when I bought this one. I bought this one a few months ago last time it was on sale and it's still sealed, unopened.
