I bought the burnt orange version last time it was on sale. You get what you pay for. Good as long as you keep it with you in the cabin and can store it overhead. I would not check it in. the shell is lightweight but it would easily crack if thrown around.

However it does not have a TSA lock. in fact it does not have any lock. If you are okay with that then it's a decent price.

I'll say it's a nice but odd feature that shouldn't be injected into a bag structure at all.
