I have another brand and it makes similar sound, even when not charging. What's up with these?

These work, but they're slow. Also, all the ones of this model I bought and tried seem to require you to lay the phone diagonally across the charger, like corner to corner... otherwise it doesn't charge

I got the two pack with a previous deal several months ago. I didn't notice the buzzing sound, I think those should be returned. I had overheating issues for my overnight charges, as it does 7.5w for iphones, it gets hot. So I replaced the wall brick with the tiny apple one that does 5w, so it charges to 100% overnight probably at around 2.5w effective without heating issues but very slowly.

My lightning connector broke on my phone, I previously picked up the clearance 2 pack of these so I didn't have to get a new phone.
Without a case my phone got a little hot, but with a case on I've had no issues.
After using this daily for awhile now, I've had no issues.
I have the 2nd one at work in case I forget to charge it overnight, and may pick up a third for a backup.
