Just sharing my Costco experience from last year if anyone is somewhat disappointed with this Super Bowl pricing. It had been a few years since I had made a purchase for a large, more expensive TV for our den (where we primarily watch movies and sports). After asking around a bit, and checking forums, quite a few people told me that the new TV models come out around May timeframe and that often they use the Super Bowl sale to clear out this year's model and that "now" was the time to jump on a TV because when the new models came out, there wouldn't be any deals for a while and there wouldn't be enough stock of old TVs to really deal on. So, I picked up a Sony 75" X90J during Costco's sale using my Costco CC to maximize the warranty for about $1599 plus tax. After purchasing, I can say that there were at least 5 times that I know of where the price was anywhere from $100 cheaper to $400 cheaper (at Costco or other reputable retailers) including several times where the X90K (newer 2022-2023 model) was actually cheaper. In hindsight, if I'd have had it to do over, I'd have used the Costco Super Bowl sale pricing as a guide and I would have waited on purchasing until I got a better deal.

Hold off. As the recession really starts to bite there will be a huge inventory glut. Just be patient.

I was hoping for a better deal on the LG C2 77". Oh well, I probably should wait a few months more anyway.

Agreed! The B2 77" isn't a great deal either! Hopefully they lower these prices some more to compete with other retailers.

Is it still 7 year warranty? They reduced extended warranty to only one year starting 2023

It's even worse than that. There's no additional warranty from using the credit card starting 1/22/23.

I guess if you wanted to try and hack it you could buy a TV now to get the warranty coverage and then come back in for a price adjustment after 1/22.

Yeah 42" C2s were $799 for almost a month. Was at least expecting that to match.
