Hackable for the batteries down to $52.78 or the tools down to 106.22

Order the tool kit and the batteries for delivery. You'll get 2 confirmation emails - the tools will say $106 and the batteries $52. Wait for delivery, and return whichever you don't want to a store, where you show them the email and they refund that amount.

It's not really a hack, just bending the returns process and taking advantage of home depot's sales system being designed poorly.

I wouldn't wait for cheaper batteries honestly. The $40 2 pack 4aH probably won't be back until November probably. $52 for a 2 pack is pretty good actually

Thanks OP! I picked up this deal because I didn't have any of these tools and I've been wanting the rotary tool and router for a while. Was able to take the 4ah batteries back since I didn't need them and it came out to $106.22 for the tool bundle.
Great price !

Damn! I finally pulled the trigger on the other kit and when tested the circular saw(without blade) it creates some spark on the right side(assuming where motor is). Is it broken?

Anything sparking like crazy isn't normal but a small one when you turn it on or off is normal for a brushed motor.

Gotcha! I checked all the tools drill, impact. Seems like all of them are doing it, assuming coz they are brushed motors.

That's correct. Usually happens when you're powering down vs. powering up but anything that sparks outside the housing isn't very safe.

Original Ryobi batteries? Those prices would be unheard of if so. I don't have experience with off brand, but I personally stick to reputable brands for their quality control for electronics
I have a few of the Chinese knock-offs and I can tell you with confidence that they are not as good as the "real" batteries. Don't get me wrong, they work but the advertised rating and what you get out of it are not accurate and seem to vary.

2 8aH batteries for $57 is in "too good to be true" realm. These, like many of the dewalt ones, are likely counterfeit.
Are you saying reputable stores like Home Depot and Lowes are selling counterfeit batteries? I have not experienced this situation

It's probably the brushes breaking in.
