Cashews are never raw, even if it says so on the packaging if that is your concern. Truly raw cashews are toxic, they need to be steamed at high temperature/pressure to remove the toxin. You can look up what happens to the hands of workers who handle raw cashews, their skin gets dissolved and cracked, they often get infections this way which they may die from. None of this is surprising considering cashew plants are from the poison ivy family.

Kirkland's is better if you're wondering. Bigger, crunchier, and less crumbs with Costcos

Thanks OP. Grabbed these in November at the same $. Still making my way through the container, but I'd buy more at this price.

Agreed!

BUT,

Health wise, steaming is acceptable... but roasting in oil is not (for some people). Hence my statement that these are roasted... not they are not raw.

Oh OK, then you're good.

My comment was because I thought you may be raw foodie. There are some raw vegans out there (like Fully Fake Kristina on YouTube) who claim not to have eaten cooked food in years yet she eats cashews every day... so that's contradictory.

Yea, the least favorable nuts if you're on keto diet still healthier than processed carbs

Agree 1000%. I tried the Planters during the last deal and they were small and "oily". I make trips to Costco specifically to stock up on their Cashews.
