Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

For anyone who can afford this car, does anyone actually qualify for fed tax credit. Income limits are so low...

I got my bolt premiere with SC and s&s for out of door price After tax credit : 25712.. I need to upgrade my 2nd car so considering Tesla but not sure tax credit will be available for both even though i meet the tax liability and income requirements? Not sure if rule allows 2 new evs and credits on both?
I'm in the same situation (without super cruise) and you can take two full credits as long as you have enough tax liability. If you buy another GM, you also get a second charger install credit. Here in NC, the electric company also provides charger credit for each vehicle registered at the address, no limit.

How is a vehicle a Frontpage deal. Yup, I got $60K to just blow on a new Tesla. People that got money to blow are not on Slickdeals and if they are then that is weird because if I had that kind of money I wouldn't care about consumer goods.

Doesn't matter which factory as these will all have 4680 cells for 330 mile range. All this made up small stuff about Tesla isn't necessary to debate upon.

PS - Tesla owner since last 4 years.
hmm you sure about this? i dont think so from what i have read of reddit. i believe people are saying 4680 battery in model y are only about 270 miles.

Tesla discounted the prices of certain models which are now eligible for $7500 tax credit.

Federal tax credit applies to LEASING as well as purchase. Great option if you don't have the tax liability to use to rebate.

Also check into local/state EV incentives.

Even with this dramatic price drop it was better to buy a Tesla last summer than it was to buy Tesla stock. With the stock you would have lost more than half!

100%. I work in telecom, and let me tell you: people love their landlines. Most of America gets terrible mobile reception. Speeds are slow and the call quality is awful. Plus, who wants to carry around a phone all the time? They're the size of bricks.
...
And I wouldn't worry about China. Can you believe most Chinese households don't even have a fax machine?
Lol, most American households don't have fax machine too.
Landlines are long gone, Chinese uses WeChat, video and pictures are sent in real-time

I like how tesla talks about potential savings when buying the car by deducting gas we would've bought instead over 6 years.....but electricity isn't free either?!?
