Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

a kia or honda civic is a better deal than a 3 series.. cheaper on gas and insurance too.. we can keep going.. better yet.. lets end.. we have feet.. its free and has unlimited range unless you're about to become a disabled
My intention is to say Tesla insurances are much higher than other cars, including other EVs. Perhaps my example was poor. My friend with a 3 series performance pays about $600 more than me in insurance every year.

Asking for a friend, say that friend makes over 150k but that friend has a sibling that makes less than that, can they co-owner it and have the sibling claim the 7500?

Annoyed. They sold me hard EOY with their $7500 + 10k supercharging miles like others. Can I return and rebuy?

but you get to brag to your friends and family that you live in high life NYC.. kinda like the folks living near SF paying insane housing $$$ but brag about how they live in SF
Not really. I was born in NYC but I always tell people I live on Long Island. Nassau County LI is one of the most expensive counties in the US. I doubt anyone thinks I am poor living on Long Island.

Nice my etron lease is coming up. Might get the Y.
Interested why you consider going to the Y. We have an eTron, and cross shopped the Y and the etron was superior in every way except for the supercharger infrastructure and we didn't care for the auto-pilot.
