Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

This sort of makes me feel cheated. I took delivery on New Year eve. Basically, my car depreciated 14k in 12 days.
I understand that feeling--- but remember, you probably felt you were making a good purchase and receiving sufficient value for your money. You still got a great car and will have a blast with it. Enjoy!

More like Tesla tells them to come pick it up on 3/28 and then calls last minute and says there's a delay, come next week. Tends to be par for the course with them.

Well, that was my point. No need to be weepy. You liked the car, liked the price, decided to buy. Enjoy the car and feel good about helping to advance the electric car industry.

It's ok. Everyone can tell you do not have a nice vehicle.

Debating pulling the trigger on the MY. The unknown delivery date is one factor stopping me.

LOL..you should thank the dinosaurs for giving the electric cars the ability to exist. Around 62% of the power grid in the US comes from fossil fuels. Got it Greta?
I'm running full house solar and sending power back to the grid at this point in the year. driving on sunshine!

Try again, bro

You mean they are managing their business not based on lessening supply chain limitation, deflating costs & production effciencies?

How obtuse of you. Those years when the Dino's offer december to remember incentives & you didn't whine about that...

C'mon how hard is it to do a electrified empty box & still make billions.
Come on, man! I way prefer going to the dealer and getting a market adjustment of +$20,000 on my new ICE!
