Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

So, no rebates/incentives for CA if you're above the income limits?
There is currently no additional rebate for CA at all. Tesla has not been added back to cleanvehiclerebate or Clean Cars 4 All, there's no guaranteed they ever will be.

class action because a manufacturer is changing the price? what if the price wouldve gone up? Would you have sued in that case as well?
Quote from Cecerious :
That's a totally different situation. Price hike to people with previous reservations vs price drop. Really is no grounds for a class action in Tesla's case. People sign the dotted line with an agreed upon price.
My response was to the what if question stated above.

So you think if I buy a Tesla and then decide I don't want it and sell it to somebody else it's fraud?

Did you buy it and receive a federal credit and then turn around and sell it to your son, or did you trade it in or sell it to a random person after advertising it?

Everyone thinks they can just feign ignorance, but in this day and age it is pretty easy to follow the money as well as tell where the car is parked at night and where it is driven daily. Heck they are a rolling data logger

Look I don't care what you do, everyone has to determine their risk reward tolerance and if you think it is worth the risk go for it, but at the end of the day it is fraud plain and simple.

The OP of that comment was likely referring to what they would BUY the car for when you ask for an online offer.
Sorry, didn't catch the context. Thanks!

If you order you can get 52.9k. Gives you room to add color choice or white with 20" wheels and stay under $55k.

Looks like he compared a new standard range vs 2020 LR.

Interesting that the new is slower on standard, I assume the LR would be a bit heavier with bigger battery so does that mean it's even slower?

From alot of the reviews, seems like the 20in wheels make for a bumpier ride and less mileage. That white interior is sexy AF though, I would've gotten it if it wasn't for my kids, and I wear jeans alot.
