Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Price at original was 67444 after the price reduction it was 61440. Also today I got an email that my CVRP rebate was approved. So waiting 9 months I saved 6000+7500+2000. Im just lucky thats all.

That's interesting. I am guessing your vehicle is a 7 seater model otherwise you won't be able to qualify for $7500 tax credit, right?

Correct, I did get the 7 seater configuration. Thats probably why it took so long as well.

Seems like not strong demand
I think demand is there, once the deal came out, at least 5 people I know got a model y and turns down a previously crazy marked up ev/plug in of another brand

In socal, almost all evs n plug ins are marked up $8k+

but supply is catching up significantly due to the Austin plant ramping up

I live in CA n got one from Austin

Anyone custom ordered MYLR 7 seater from North NJ and got delivery date yet ? Mine says between Feb and Apr.

And can you wait to update financial details until VIN is assigned or they need that to start building my order ?
I don't see any reason for them to hold off.. but curious due to demand they might prioritize people who have provided it already?

Is it possible to see estimated delivery without paying the $250 deposit?

friends don't let friends read consumer reports, especially on ev. get real feedback from real owners, ask questions and concerns. that is far more constructive than some reporter spending a day in car they are reviewing.

Right, cause consumer reports gets their info from fake owners, not real ones.

You say ask questions and concerns, but when people tell the truth, they are labeled haters and anti-EV, big oil shills, etc.

Most of them require some membership. There are some that accept you with a small donation(fee) and small deposit into a savings account. Better question is if someone can recommend a Credit Union that allows anyone to join and has a good Auto loan rate.
Got 3.84 at AdelFi. Tower FCU is offering around 1.99% but I am highly suspicious of that low of a rate.

Nope, that's not what i said. I said CR spent limited amount of time in car they reviewed. You would be better off asking feedback from actual owners who had car for far longer. And also ask the owners who had similar requirements or switched from similar car before that would be a more valid feedback.

No where i would label people give honest feedback haters or shills, unless their sole purpose here is thread crapping or comparing to 100k Porsche or 30k civic. All constructive feedback or complaints should be welcome.

Aren't there income limits on the CVRP rebates now? I thought someone had to make under $135k and under $200k filing jointly.

While I am certainly not saying don't ask an actual owner, I am saying that their information is already biased, and they may try to justify their purchase whether or not they even mean to.

Consumer reports has no skin in the game and they are professional car reviewers. You certainly cannot discount their review and information as it is unbiased. It doesn't matter to them if you buy a Tesla or a Toyota.

Maybe you don't label people but the threads don't lie. Why do you think only the Tesla threads are like this, because of the anti-tesla people? Think again, the fanbois create this atmosphere in every thread.
