Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

What is a good ceramic coating I can do myself. I've been using Turtle Wax ICE Seal N Shine and been pretty happy with it but does not last all year.
I'm not the right person to ask for car care tips.

Woke up in the middle of night, actually early morning and found this post and here's my update:

Maryland

MYLR - 5 seat - 19" wheel -Blue exterior and Black interior - No Tow or FSD

Order Date: 1/13/2023 - 3:20 AM EST

Received email with VIN - 1/13/2023 - 8:40 AM EST

Delivery date assigned - 1/16/2023 or 1/17/2023

Didn't have auto loan in place, so rescheduled delivery for 1/19/2023.

Just picked it up today… no major issue with the vehicle… there seems to be hairline scratches on the trunk if u look closely, so may take it to Service center for fix.

VIN starts with 7SA and from what i could find from the VIN decode, it's a Austin built 2023 model.
At night the blue looks wicked on the model y especially. enjoy the car.

I got March 16th to 31 delivery date. Will this risk the Tax incentive?

With price of Y model hiked to lowest of $55990, isn't that not qualified to get the federal tax credit now which capped the price of that model to $55000? Am I missing something? Why people still buying? Thanks.

lol, just conveniently cherry picking numbers. Tesla fanboys really are the dumbest.
He's a fan boy who doesn't own one. He's a loose screw with betting over 50+ posts of the same nonsense of Civic or RAV bad, Tesla good. So many here appear to be stretched thin financially. Interesting read here on buyers with most under 35. Also shows what lousy drivers they are: "Overall, researchers found that Tesla owners are less safe on the road than drivers of other vehicle models. When it comes to acceleration safety, Tesla motorists scored worse than 98% of all drivers." https://www.themanual.com/auto/st...ographics/

Yeah. Try custom order instead of looking at inventory.
