Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

That is correct. In my case i would rather take $2k aaving. my price savings is $7500 federal + $3500 MA state rebate.
That brings this car to $40k plus taxes.

Yes. I need to find out what will be the best charging % range on these new cells. I'm assuming it should be between 20% and 90%

I'm guessing so mods don't need to babysit the handful of children posting here.

Not sure that it really matters, but I guess you'd have to send a message to SD support.

Buy a Tesla Model 3 at $46K + tax, less $7,500 tax credit at the time of filing... or wait for a 2023 Toyota Prius LE AWD for around $30K + tax.

Electricity in California is probably $0.28/kWh, but then you're comparing a somewhat luxury car vs. econobox.
You consider Model 3 a luxury car?

Pearl White SR is available for $50,990 and Midnight Silver SR is available for $52,990, as of 7:25AM PST. No idea if these are Austin built with the new battery cells, but an option for those who want to qualify for the tax rebate.
