Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

LMAOLMAO Yeah, good point. But I think it's slowly going to spread to those other 49 states. Just my opinion. That unemployment rate, has to go up, significantly relatively speaking.
Fair enough....it could be one of the initial signs, yeah

What? SF commercial RE vacancy is 28% and expected to hit 38% later this year. Friend just shut down one of his 2 restaurants/wine bar in SF. Apple will announce layoffs soon. My son in law is a engineer with them and in the know. There has been 70,000 layoffs in tech the past 2 months and more to come. Lots of negative ripple effect. How can you not see that? Never said the sky was falling, but we are in a recession that's going to get worse. Look at the GDP and report back. It was 2% in 2022. Under Trump it was 5.75% in 2021. Btw, I hope Tesla sells a lot of cars as it's great for our economy, but they are certainly not a good fit for most people.
between a 30k marked up corolla civic vs 37k tesla.. tesla is the better deal
those new priuses wont be had for at msrp for sure...

IRA is working as intended as it has a huge ripple effect on the dealers...

Plaid 7:35 Nürburgring lap disagrees w/ your blanket Tesla assertion. And 7:44 to 8:10 (3P) isn't exactly boring, esp at price point.

HaHa are you kidding? 7:35 is a horrible time.

I won't even list all of the Porsche and Mercedes that beat that time...by a lot but...

C6, C7, and C8 corvettes all have a faster time.

Try again. That is where the Plaid is embarrassed LMAOLMAOLMAOLMAO

Damn your parents f***ed up if you think a 2 door is the same number as 4 doors. Do you even know how to tie your shoes?

Custom Ordered on 1/13. Picked mine up today. Didn't really find any issue's. A bunch of people picked up today at the same time. They all seem to be happy. Nobody identified any major issues. Asked the rep about gap problems, he said the cars out of Austin have much less number of pieces so there isn't really any gap problem these days

Overall very happy with my purchase. Basically 46.5K for a LR model Y. Car is driving fantastic. Suspension is a bit rough over pot holes but I can live with that.

I think the only thing we know is that it is after 2/28
No specific dates end date is mentioned. Assumption (by Tesla dealers and other expert in online community) is it will be available till Mar 31. Again all speculations!!!

That's what I was thinking! That time is nothing to write about. C7 owner here, and have seen some model 3's with performance move. But not on curves. It's all over when turning.

Lucky you! It seems like Tesla doesn't update. How did they let you know, your car is arriving? How long before it arrived? I'm in Calif and ordered I think on the 14th, but didn't complete loan app till yesterday!
