Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

Not at all, in fact English is not my first language and I was just saying what logic i use. Normally if I say untill Monday it is Sunday 23:59. If any part of Monday is included, i use specific qualifiers like noon, EOB or EOD.
Totally understand bro and I see what you are saying as well.

Lol I blame my nutty level of OCD on being exact on all the board exams I've been forced to take (and pay for) lol

Upon some rumors, these features will be included after autopilot, Tesla Vision and software upgrade.
I didn't know this. I'm waiting to hear back from insurance to see where my rates go. I've read scare stories that insurance is quite high for teslas

I'd rather have them than autopilot. Hope CT has them vs vaporware, if not, will likely pass on that on as well.
Ya but this goes down the never buy on a promised feature but this one isn't even promised. Anyways, now is the time to buy with the tax credit. It was just hard to hear. Tesla doesn't have these basic safety features I've had on my last two vehicles from Honda.

It is a bit odd that Tesla doesn't have these things. Rear cross traffic alert is a simple setup with the rear camera that all cars have. BSM does require the special sensors for the traditional implementation but it seems like Tesla could figure it out using the side repeater cameras. I do like the side camera views when changing lanes, but that only turns on once you've turned on the turn signal, not quite as good as the light that many cars have on the mirrors to constantly show the blind spot status.

i bet Tesla has all those features... they just will charge you later to turn them on for you. For now, the price is low enough so the Taxpayer will subsidize your initial purchase, then pay them directly later to turn on all those systems.

U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee chair Joe Manchin on Wednesday introduced legislation that would immediately impose battery sourcing requirements on electric vehicles to qualify for $7,500 tax credits.

The U.S. Treasury in December said it would not issue proposed guidance on battery sourcing rules until March, giving some electric vehicles not meeting new requirements a brief window of eligibility in 2023 before the battery rules take effect. Manchin's legislation would make all of the battery requirements for tax credits retroactive to Jan. 1.

Well, if they have them they haven't offered them to me after owning other Teslas for the last 4 years.

Enjoying Camry very well. Hope you have figured out by now that assets like Cars depreciate in value so not to fuss on it. If now, you will.

Exactly. I get 33/34 mpg on my Camry as well. Not sure where he/she is pulling Camry and guzzler together.Any
Any other cars deprecate faster, but Tesla on the other hand appreciate in value over time Similar to Apple they hold their value far better then any dell/HP laptop would.

Ouch. If that would take place it would upset quite a few who have been sold on vehicles by dealers, manufactures, news outlets, and even government officials.

Even directly from the White House.
