Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

I read somehwere only first 200k vehicles will qualify from each manufacturer for $7500 rebates.. and manufacturer reports to IRS too with names and vins .. Its on BOA website
That's with the first tax credit that ended in 2022. 2023 has a new tax credit from the Inflation Reduction Act. Lots of requirements so read more into it before you buy any EV.

Btw to the people who took delivery or about to take delivery - Any recommendation on Floor mat ?
I ordered from Tesmanian cause at the price point, it seems decent and has good review on Reddit.

2023 Model Y and Model 3 have no radar and no ultrasonic sensors! Buyer beware! It was a cost cutting measure which they are largely rectifying with hardware suite 4, coming out in a few months. The current heavily discounted Teslas are discounted for a reason. You don't even have parking system sensor feedback. So sure buy a new Tesla but don't cry later when your car is half as good as the new one and has curb rash because you can't park a car without parking sensor feedback
Sir
You are 1000% correct however they do have a low tech camera based musk vision 😉 hardware in'em.. I doubt anyone here would be upset after spending 55k and getting 7.5k huge discount.. missed out on a big tech upgrade and instead brought a matchbox. I can already imagine their play date with their kid's hot wheels..😂

Most likely just a rumor, its suppose to be the 25K car for the mass but i highly doubt itll make it this year. given papa Elon's track record with the roadster and cybertruck

I know there are ton of options and i may be baised, but i always went with weathertech they are really well made in the US and also they have lasted 9+ years across the 4 cars i have owned. I have weathertech in all of them. It might be a overkill and $$$$ in terms of other available options but you get what you pay for. I know people also really like the maxpider or something like that ... that company is good as well if you dont need anything too heavy duty like weathertech for the northern winters

if you can't park without parking sensors you shouldn't be driving at all lol ... i am sure they will have the Birds eye view in the future. parking sensors isn't a big deal for me when the other tech makes up for everything else

Did you order the complete set including the storage (front & rear)? If so, how much did you spend?

I was considering this, but I decided to buy my elderly parents' 2014 Honda CRV with 14000 miles instead for $6000. Why do I feel like a dodged a huge bullet?
