Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Model 3 RWD dropped $500...
That's making it more enticing. I wonder why they dropped the price though will it drop further?

If I could find a MY available in the existing inventory and swap it to my reservation which I did before price hike, does Tesla honor the price before the raise?
Yes...it will go by your original pricing. I got an inventory car after the $500 increase...I paid original order price...but need to talk to salesperson

Probably demand isn't there for sedans compared to SUV. Us Americans love SUVs...

I wonder for those who ordered and have a scheduled delivery, will we get a price adjustment - highly doubt.

I'm in Los Angeles. I ordered White Model Y with no extra options on January 10th, at the price of 52,990. I paid $250. Does anyone want to take the reservation for $1,000? I'd only make $750 since I already paid $250 order fee. Whoever takes this reservation still saves $1,000. Thanks DM me if interested.
I don't think you can change the name on the order

The name on registration could be changed, which would then be reflected on the Title. So effectively same as changing name on the order.

Yes, that's exactly how it works. I had similar tech in my Volvo XC90 w/ Pilot Assist 2. It combines LKA and ACC into a single system. You set your speed and distance, and the car brakes as needed if traffic slows, and speeds back up, to the max of the speed you set. The car stays centered in your lane as best as possible, and also moves over if a car veers into your lane. Curves worked relatively well too, but sweeping curves would sometimes be can issue. And as someone else stated, it does not stop at lights or signs.

That was my Volvo, but I believe Tesla AP is similar. You'd need the upgraded FSD or Enhanced AP to get additional features.
ahaha thats all i need and keeping in lane. FSD is to early for me since its still beta i will upgrade in future.
